This powerful pre-emergent grassy weed killer prevents crabgrass and other troublesome weeds from invading your lawn. In early spring, apply this crabgrass preventer when the lawn is dry to stop the germination of crabgrass, foxtail, spurge, barnyardgrass, fall panicum, and oxalis before they start. For fall application (August-October), it prevents moss (except in California), Poa annua, henbit, corn speedwell, and chickweed. Simply apply with a Scotts spreader – recommended settings include 2 1/4 for broadcast/rotary spreaders, 4 1/2 for drop spreaders, and 3 1/4 for the Scotts Wizz. For best results, ensure your lawn receives 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water from rainfall or watering within 2-3 days after application. This weed prevention product controls crabgrass in its early growth stages but does not control mature existing weeds. One 10.06 lb bag covers up to 5,000 square feet, providing full-season protection for your lawn.
